Hertfordshire Cricket seeks to employ a highly motivated, driven and competent Performance and Schools Coach to work as part of their team.
The main duties of this position will be coaching on the Charley Cricket and Boys Development programmes, as well as the Chance to Shine programme, supporting and developing the delivery of schools cricket activity across Primary and Secondary sectors.
This role will be mainly working for the Performance team as a coach on the Boys Performance Pathway; primarily focusing on the following programmes:
These programmes take place on weekday evenings and weekends during the Autumn/Winter term time and throughout the summer school holidays and forms an essential part of this role.
You will also be working with the Schools Team on the Chance to Shine Schools programme during the summer Term (April – July). These sessions will take place during school term time/hours.
The employee will also work across other programmes in the business as and when required.
The successful candidate is likely to have experience of working in sports cricket coaching and development and working with various partners.
You will need to be passionate about and committed to cricket development at a local level. It would be an advantage if you have experience of coaching at a grassroots and performance level coupled with a sound knowledge, appreciation and understanding of the game including holding a current ECB Coaching qualification.
Candidates must demonstrate both team working skills and the ability to work unsupervised using their own initiative. You will be a self-starter with energy and enthusiasm together with good administration and organisational skills. Equally you will be an excellent communicator with a passion for the development of cricket/sport for young people.
This post is for an initial 12-month fixed term period commencing October 2022 and reviewed after the initial fixed period, subject to future funding.
