First 6T's County Final is a HIT.....
6 schools took part in Hertfordshire Cricket's first 6T's Rapid Fire County Final held at The Priory School in Hitchin.
St. Thomas More, St. Johns and Whitehill from North Herts SSP and Maple Cross, Rickmansworth Park and St. Pauls from Three Rivers & Watford SSP qualified from their local partnership festivals. 6T's Rapid Fire is a competition for years 3 & 4, which is based around a number of different skills including striking, fielding, team work, communication and numeracy.
Each school played two games in the group stages and then an additional game in the play-off rounds.
Maple Cross were the eventual winners, defeating St. Thomas More by 15 runs in the final.
A huge thank you to all the schools that took part in the event this year, special thanks to North Herts SSP and Three Rivers & Watford SSP for agreeing to try out the new competition and finally to the Leaders and Apprentices from Sporting Futures and both partnerships for helping to run the festivals.
