Anti Bullying Week 2014.....
Hertfordshire Cricket welcomed Chance to Shine Coaching Ambassador & England Star Lydia Greenway to schools across the county as part of the Chance to Shine Schools Programme for 2014-2015.
This also coincided with Anti Bullying Week 2014. Every year the Anti-Bullying Alliance coordinate national Anti-Bullying Week; a week where children and young people, schools, parents and carers come together with one aim: to stop bullying for all.
Along with the Hertfordshire Cricket Schools & Community Team, Lydia visited Oakmere Primary School, Watford Girls School, Leventhorpe School, Herts & Essex High School, The John Warner School and Simon Balle School to deliver Coaching sessions and Assembly visits and promote how sport, in particular Cricket, has provided her with the opportunities she has.
Now into its tenth year, the Chance to Shine campaign continues to motivate and educate youngsters through cricket, with more girls than ever playing last year and now over 1 Million girls having accessed the programme.
