ECB Kwik Cricket & Herts School Games Finals 2017.....
Greenway School & William Ransom School rounded off an impressive Hertfordshire School's Kwik Cricket programme for 2017 as they were crowned ECB Kwik Cricket County Champions and Herts School Games Winners in the U11/Yr6 and U11 Girls Only Kwik Cricket Finals.
The U11 Kwik Cricket County Final was held on Friday 7th July at Oaklands College, and it bought together the 12 winning schools from the local partnership competitions.
Greenway School (representing the Dacorum SSP) defeated Greneway School (representing the North East Herts SSP) in the final. The completion was very even and hotly contested throughout the day.
The U11 Girls Kwik Cricket County Final was held on Wednesday 5th July at Stevenage Cricket Club
The impressive William Ransom side, who won the competition in 2014, defeated Greenway School in the final to secure their 2nd title in 4 years. The standard of cricket throughout the day was very impressive and pays tribute to how the girls game is developing across the county.
Congratulations to all of the schools that took part in the two events and good luck to both Greenway and William Ransom when they represent Hertfordshire in the East Region Festival at The Essex County Ground, Chelmsford on 18th July.
A special thanks must also go to the sports leaders from the Three River SSP, who supported the U11 Kwik Cricket Finals at Oaklands College and enabled the event to run smoothly.
Hertfordshire Cricket are proud to work in conjunction with the ECB and The Herts School Games to organise the U11 Kwik Cricket county final and partnership rounds.
