New Club Welfare Officer for 2017 - Make sure they are FULLY trained....
With a number of clubs holding their AGM's over the coming months, this is a reminder regarding the requirements of training for nominated CLUB WELFARE OFFICER's.
Club Welfare Officers are required to complete and have in place the following 3 steps before they will be signed off as FULLY TRAINED and meeting the minimum requirements as set out in 'ECB Safe Hands' - Cricket's Policy for Safeguarding Children, Young People and Vulnerable Adults.
All of the above are valid for 3 years from the date of issue or attendance.
It is the responsibility of the club to ensure that the nominated officer maintains these requirements, so that the club continue to meet the minimum requirements of it's affiliation to Hertfordshire Cricket (and the ECB) and membership of any relevant leagues and competitions.
All Club Welfare Officers of affiliated clubs have been contacted in November 2016 confirming the current status of their CWO Training and reminded of when courses are taking place in early 2017 should they need to update their training.
