Changes to the structure of Participation & Growth cricket in Hertfordshire.....
As of 1 October 2017, the County Cricket Boards of Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Huntingdonshire decided that the Participation and Growth element of their delivery responsibility across recreational cricket will now be delivered under the collaborative umbrella of Cricket East. The workforces of the four counties have come together into one operational team, which will work across the four-county geographical areas with the emphasis on increasing club engagement and support and the implementation of the national programme areas of All Stars Cricket and Womens Soft Ball Festivals.
Chief Executive Officer for Cricket East Martin Darlow said:
I am delighted to announce that Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Hertfordshire and Huntingdonshire joined forces on 1 October 2017 under the umbrella of Cricket East. The aim is to pool our resources to improve the service to clubs and communities across the four counties. The collaborative initiative has brought all staff together with a base at Wyboston Lakes with clear areas of responsibility and accountability to drive up participation, improve facilities and grow our wonderful game. This is an exciting time for cricket in our region.
Cricket East will provide the operational programmes and support for the network within the four counties around the following areas:
