after 11 excellent years in charge.....
.
Congratulations to Andrew Meadmore from all at Hertfordshire Cricket on an excellent 11 years as Chairman of HJL.
At the inaugural AGM of the Herts Junior League in 2009 Andrew Meadmore was elected the Chairman. Since then under his stewardship the HJL has become a crucial part of the junior cricket fabric for clubs within the county and many talented young players have progressed from it to playing for the full county side. But it is not only the better players that have benefited. Many more children have enjoyed competitive cricket because of the HJL.
Clubs are the heartbeat of any county and the work HJL has done to promote and encourage junior cricket in the last 11 years has benefited the club scene hugely.
But there is still much to be done and thankfully the Chairman, Dennis Lock, has the good of cricket for all as his most prominent thought whenever discussing the game.
The HJL has adjusted to changing trends and edicts from the ECB and no doubt with new formats being introduced will have to continue to do so.
However, all involved in cricket in the county is very lucky to have an organisation like HJL willing to provide so much.
