Schools enjoy first 6T's Rapid Fire festival in North Herts.....
6 schools in the North Herts School Sports Partnership took part in Hertfordshire Cricket's first 6T's Rapid Fire Festival held at The Priory School in Hitchin.
William Ransom, Whitehill, St. Thomas More, St. Andrews, St. Johns' and Pixmore took up the opportunity to try out the new festival for years 3 & 4, which is based around a number of different skills including striking, fielding, team work, communication and numeracy.
After a demonstration of how the play the game and an explanation of the rule, Each school played two games in the group stages and then an additional game in the play-off rounds.
St. Thomas More School were the eventual winners, defeating St. Johns' by 15 runs in the final.
A second pilot festival is being held in partnership with the Three Rivers and Watford School Sports Partnership in January, with the winning schools coming together for a final in March 2016.

6T's Rapid Fire is New to Herfordshire for 2015-2016. The game is excellent for teaching year 3 & 4 aged children and below the basics of cricket in a safe and easy manner.
