Funeral details confirmed.......
.
Hertfordshire Cricket was saddened to learn of the recent death of Jean Gibbs. Jean was a splendid supporter of Hertfordshire Cricket and cricket in the county in general. Whether it be at North Mymms Cricket club where her husband Tony was so integral as the scorer, or Hitchin where her grandson Leighton played, Jean was an ever-smiling presence keen for good performances but also aware that it is only a game that is meant to add to the joy of life.
We are sure many of you will want to celebrate Jean’s full and interesting life with her family. The details are below.

You are all more than welcome to join us all for all three parts of “Jeans” Day, starting at the Crematorium to “say goodbye” to Jean and at the Church afterwards “to give thanks” for her life and finally at the pub to “share memories” of your own unique relationship with her as we commemorate and celebrate Jean’s life.
We completely understand if some of you can only join us for one or two parts.
As for dress code, we would like to encourage you to wear something that you think Jean would appreciate. She often remarked that she liked to see colour at funerals, but if you feel more comfortable in traditional funeral attire, that would be very fitting as well.
Jean liked people to feel included, comfortable and themselves in all situations.
The boys and I also hope that you appreciate that our expectation would be for family flowers only.
These donation pages have been set up for those of you who might like to support the charities that were close to Jean’s heart at https://jean-gibbs-1942-2022.muchloved.com/
