After a delayed start due to rain, the match was reduced to 40 overs per side. Isle of Wight won the toss and put Hertfordshire in to bat.
Hertfordshire started strongly with the opening batsmen Joe Burslem (47) and Abhay Hirani (45) and Captain Viraj Gandhi (57) coming in at number 3. The runs were then harder to come by and "Extras" were the next highest scorer (37) and Hertfordshire ended up all out for 234 in the 39th over.

However after a wicket apiece by Chimnay Mullapudi and Dan Orchard in the next 2 overs it left IoW at 28/2 off 4 overs and they were on the back foot from there on. Wickets were then shared around until Man of the Match, Abhay Hirani came in to bowl and cleaned up the tail order with 4/13 off his 3 overs.
