In a new approach to their usual education and development programme, the Hertfordshire Association of Cricket Officials (HACO) have decided to hold a conference style event on Sunday 19th April 2020 at the Hertfordshire Sports Village, University of Hertfordshire.
The objective of the conference is to get HACO members together under one roof and make the event both an informative and a social day. There will be a programme of events to hopefully cover all “tastes” for both scorers and umpires.
The outline for the day is as follows:
08.45 to 09.10 | Arrival, registration and welcome. | |
09.10 to 10.00 | Whole Group Session and Guest Speaker. | Les Clemenson, Interim Chairman ECB ACO (to be confirmed) |
10.00 to 12.30 | 3 Breakout sessions chosen by participants on various topics. | Examples: Team Building, Supporting the pace of play, Scorer/umpire cooperation |
12.30 to 13.05 | Whole Group Session | Law Refresher |
13.05 to 14.00 | Lunch | |
14.00 to 16.00 | 3 sessions for all umpires or scorers session, as appropriate | Includes practical session in Cricket Hall |
16.00 to 16.15 | Break | |
16.15 to 17.00 | Whole Group Session | Includes Q&A |

Venue Details: Hertfordshire Sports Village, de Havilland Campus, Hatfield Business Park, Hatfield, AL10 9EU (Free parking available).
HACO anticipate a strong demand for places on a first come, first served basis. The subsidised HACO Member conference fee is £20 which includes Lunch and all refreshments.
