Club Safeguarding Officers are vital members of the club and key to making an environment safe, welcoming and friendly for children to enjoy the game of cricket.
ECB Safe Hands Workshops will run in advance of the 2024 season
The below courses are for both 'NEW' and 'EXISTING' Club Safeguarding Officers. These courses are free of charge to Hertfordshire Affiliated Cricket Clubs (Primary or Associate). A £10 charge will be payable for any non-affiliated Club Safeguarding Officers who book on to our courses.
Please register using your full name, as it appears on your DBS certificate (if you have one) and ensure you register using an email address that is unique to you.
All courses will take place at the Hertfordshire Sports Village, University of Hertfordshire, de-Havilland Campus, Hatfield, Herts AL10 9EU and places are limited to 20 per workshop.

NB: Other Safehands courses will be run by our neighbouring Counties (Bedfordshire, Buckinghamshire Cambridgeshire, Essex, Middlesex) which may be more suitable, especially for our associate members not located in Hertfordshire. Please contact the County Boards directly for dates.
- ECB Safe Hands for Club Safeguarding Officers (Certificate dated within the last 3 years)
- ECB Safeguarding Young Cricketers (SYC) online course or ECB Safeguarding for Specialist Roles : Committee & Safeguarding Officers online course (Certificates dated within the last 3 years)
- Valid/Current ECB Enhanced DBS Check
All 3 elements must all be in date at the same time for your club's CSO to be complaint.
