Formats of cricket are available for all impairments and Hertfordshire Cricket is keen to work across all impairments.
People with visual impairment use specialist equipment such as balls that make sounds and stumps that are high vision and are bigger than conventional stumps.
The rules of VI cricket are different as there is a much higher element of conversation between the opposing teams.
For people with hearing loss or deafness, communication is paramount and as part of the work we are looking to do with the deaf community, our coaches will attain a basic level of communication skills as a minimum in order to work effectively.
As previously mentioned, Hertfordshire Cricket already work extensively with people with Learning Disability, Physical Disability and mental health issues.
