The GCR and RCR regulations contain detailed disciplinary processes which are designed to ensure that disciplinary matters are dealt with in a fair, efficient and consistent manner by cricket organisations and provide assistance to cricket organisations when establishing and running their disciplinary processes.
It is to the benefit of cricket as a whole that broadly the same process and sanctions will apply to a participant who is participating in cricket at the same level of the game, whether they are based in the North East or the South West.
Conducting a fair and transparent disciplinary process will also help to protect cricket organisations from legal or reputational damage.
The General Conduct Regulations (GCR) apply to all ECB accredited Premier Leagues and their pyramid structures while the Recreational Cricket Regulations (RCR) apply to recreational cricket leagues under the ECB’s jurisdiction that have not adopted the General Conduct Regulations.
The Regulations are accompanied by guidance to assist cricket organisations in administering the disciplinary process.
The ECB Anti-Discrimination Regulations must be adopted and embedded within their own regulations by all leagues and clubs, the Anti-Discrimination Regulations can be found below:
Policies are subject to change prior to the start of the season. Any updates will be notified through the Clubs and Leagues Newsletters.
