Nominations for the Hertfordshire Girls Cricket Performance Pathway are now open and official club and school personnel are invited to nominate players via the link at the bottom of this page. Please note that a player's parents, family or friends cannot make nominations.

U11 to U15 – COUNTY GIRLS AGE GROUP (CAG) AND COUNTY DEVELOPMENT (DEV) PROGRAMME

At U11 - U15 (School Years 5 - 10) Hertfordshire are running Girls CAG and Development Programmes. The Development squad is the sole feeder to the CAG squads. Girls develop physically and mentally at very different rates. Therefore, Hertfordshire young cricketers will be moved between the Development and CAG squads dependant on what suits each individual at that time. Our remit is the development of each child and helping them become the best adult cricketer they can be. All training and matches will be with a hard ball.

Trials will take place in mid September – dates, times and location of the trials will be confirmed in due course.

*Winter training will commence at the end of October and run through to end of March. U11 to U13 CAG squads will train on a Monday or Wednesday evenings at Chancellor’s School, Nr Hatfield and the U15 CAG squad will train on a Friday evening at the Hertfordshire Sports Village, Hatfield. Development squads (U11 to U15) will also train on at Chancellor’s School, with times to be confirmed.

If you have any talented cricketers, not currently part of our programmes, who you would like to nominate for either the U11 (must have hard ball experience), U13 or U15 squads then please complete the nomination form via the link below.

Players already on our Performance Pathway (both CAG and DEV) do not need to be re-nominated, they will be invited directly by Hertfordshire Cricket to attend the trials.

Players who took part in the Hertfordshire Jets Winter programme and are now old enough to be considered for the U11 Squad (Years 5 or 6), will still need to be nominated by their Club or School.

U18 COUNTY AGE GROUP

At U18 (School Years 11 - 13) Hertfordshire will be running Winter indoor training between end September and March. This will take place on Friday evenings at the Hertfordshire Sports Village, Hatfield. In the summer there will be official ECB 40 Over and T20 competition matches, as well as friendlies.

Formal trials for this age group will not be held, nominated players may be invited to attend U18 training sessions at the start of the winter to be assessed and considered for selection.

If you have any talented cricketers, not currently part of our programmes, who you would like to nominate and who will be in School Years 10 – 13 this winter, then please complete the nomination form via the link below.

Players already on our Performance Pathway do not need to be re-nominated, current players will be contacted directly by the Girls Coaching team.

Player Eligibility
A player must be able to meet at least one of the following criteria

• Family resides in Hertfordshire
• Attends an Educational establishment in Hertfordshire
• Was born in Hertfordshire
• Plays and is a current Member of Hertfordshire Affiliated Cricket Club

If none of the above, then the player does not meet the eligibility criteria to be nominated or play for Hertfordshire

The Hertfordshire Cricket Talent Support Fund exists to help talented players whose family financial situation would be a barrier to them being part of our County Age Group programme.
