Hertingfordbury got off to a good start after being put in to bat and at 80-3 from the first ten overs looked set for a big score. Redbourn fought back taking the wickets of Bowie (31) to an excellent catch by Quigley and Banks (19) and held Hertingfordbury to 105 all out. Pick of the bowlers was Fricker with 4 wickets (4-0-4-21).
Redbourn started scoring ahead of the required rate, but lost wickets regularly and looked in trouble at 55-5. Fricker however coming in at 3 held the innings together scoring 42 from 37 balls and Knighton saw Redbourn home with an unbeaten 14. Best of the Hertingfordbury bowlers was Banks with 2 wickets (3-0-2-22).
