Hitchin won the toss & decided to bat first, a good opening partnership between Will Mercer (22) & Sam Mace (10) put on 67 for the first wicket in 11 overs, the only other batsman to get into double figures was skipper Oliver Pomfret 14 not out. Rachel Clark was the pick of the Knebworth bowlers bowling a maiden & taking 3 wickets in four overs for 10 runs. Wickets also for B Smith & Joe Coulson.
In reply Knebworth never looked in trouble losing two wickets E Whitaker was runout for 16 & Rachel clark 9 notout. Wicket for Kieran Morar 3 overs 10 runs, Matt Holroyd also chipped in with a maiden in his 2 over spell for 4 runs.
