WGC batted very steadily throughout their innings without giving away wickets or giving many chances. In reply, Harpenden started steadily but a couple of good catches by WGC set them back from which they never recovered. Alex Card and Joe Kneale batted magnificently at the end with some lusty blows for 4 and brought the score up to a respectable 250.
