St Albans won the toss deciding to bat first with opening partnership David and Ted notching up 17 runs at a steady rate and 1st wicket went in the 6th over caught by James bowled by Pierce. Girl partnership Suzie & Molly were very keen with Suzie connecting bat to ball, during their session two wickets went to Adam and catch of the match goes to Keaton bowled by Max. Final over bowled by Nick saw the loss of a further 3 wickets with a great display of field work by the team with a stupping and a good catch by Adam.
Keaton & Nick opened for WGC scoring 16 runs loosing 2 wickets with a very good stupping by Molly and excellent bowling by Max. Middle batting pairs Pierce & Ethan, Adam & Max run rate was assisted with wides and both pairs showed improved communication amongst eachother. Final pair Captain Owen & James worked extremely well together with James alone getting 20 runs including 2 fours - very enjoyable match to watch on a cold evening with neither side giving up. |
