What a superb weekend's cricket for Hertfordshire in the West Country. The dry statistics of the ledger state one victory and one defeat but it does not convey the thrilling nature of both games and some of the superb cricket the young Hertfordshire team played.

Nor does it show the rapid learning curve that some of the players are experiencing when under pressure, none more so than the new captain, Nesan Jeyaratnam.
